Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) has been awarded a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The $2 million funding will support the development of the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar.

This funding was made possible by the efforts of PHMC’s government relations team and the strong support we received from Senator Anthony Williams and Representative Rick Krajewski, whose Districts include the Cedar Campus, and Representative Amen Brown, whose District borders the Campus. Additionally, PHMC is grateful to the following for their support, encouragement, and letters of support for the Campus: Senator Vincent Hughes, Representatives Matt Bradford and Joanna McClinton, and Councilmember Jamie Gauthier; community leaders African Cultural Alliance of North America, Wharton-Wesley United Methodist Church, Cobbs Creek Neighbors, and the Cedar Auxiliary; and partners Penn Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Independence Blue Cross Foundation and Trinity Mid-Atlantic.

The grant monies will go directly towards the renovation and restoration of the campus. PHMC’s collaboration with our partners and community outreach efforts will be key to modernizing the facility and transforming the campus into a 21st century hub for health and wellness serving the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities.
