Pennsylvania Public Health Association (PPHA), a PHMC subsidiary, is excited to celebrate National Public Health Week (NPHW). An initiative of the American Public Health Association (APHA), NPHW highlights topics aligned with APHA’s priority areas. These include climate action, health equity, advocacy, and workforce development.
Public health starts with you! Visit PPHA’s curated NPHW web page to learn more about these priority areas and how you can make a difference on the individual, community/neighborhood, and city/state levels.
As a leading voice in Pennsylvania’s public health sector, PPHA will host or participate in several events this week, including:
- Public Health Day Symposium, Wednesday April 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia: offers a collaborative platform for academic, community, and government public health professionals to exchange insights on public health initiatives and advancements in the region. - PA Local Health Convening: PPHA, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, will bring together our state's local health departments, foundations, and legislative partners for a day to discuss partnerships for strengthened public health in Pennsylvania.
