The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency established an Environmental Education Sub-Grant Program to promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers and citizens. In a competitive process National Nursing Centers Consortium (NNCC) was chosen to manage this program for Region III and make environmental education sub-awards of no more than $5,000 to various recipient agencies.
NNCC is seeking proposal applications for projects that will increase knowledge and awareness of key environmental issues and promote environmental stewardship. Applicant organizations should reside in Region III of the United States: Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Please note that 1 page Letters of Intent are due no later than Monday, November 26, 2012 with full proposal submissions due by December 17, 2012.
