Jake brings more than 20 years of community-based leadership and service to his role of overseeing PHMC Health’s five federally-qualified health centers, two homeless medical respites, and shelter nursing program.
Prior to joining PHMC in August 2023, Jake worked with health centers and schools. His FQHC experience is rooted in multiple roles at Esperanza Health Center, including Finance Director and Chief Administrative Officer. His educational background includes having served as Head of School at The City School and as an adjunct professor teaching courses primarily on community organizing and organizational leadership.
Jake holds a B.A. in Urban Studies and an M.S.Ed. in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an M.B.A. in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University. Jake is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at Temple University. A proud Philadelphia native, Jake also serves on several community nonprofit and advisory boards.
