David Fair leads Turning Points for Children’s work to build stronger families and brighter futures. As Executive Director, he oversees the PHMC subsidiary’s wide range of social and health services for children, youth and families, from foster care to older youth programs and including parenting support, family finding, food banks, and teen pregnancy programs.

A strong advocate for holistic approaches to care, David is committed to providing a continuum of programs that meet each client’s unique needs. Turning Points for Children breaks down silos in the systems our families face and works toward truly integrated systems of care. David drives the organization’s leadership in this space and is led by his belief in dynamic responses to multi-faceted challenges.

David has established and held leadership positions in government agencies, community organizations and programs in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Turning Points, he held the position of Deputy Managing Director at the City of Philadelphia and served as Senior Vice President of United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

David is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has served on the boards of over 80 nonprofit boards and committees in his long career. He has ceivedre  over 50 community services awards, including the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Citizen Award, the City of Philadelphia’s Human Rights Award, and recognition as one of the city’s 101 Connectors by Leadership Philadelphia.
