As Interim President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), Christina Hayden leads approximately 1,500 employees and oversees nearly 200 public health programs and a network of subsidiary organizations. Christina was appointed Interim President and CEO by the PHMC Board in July 2026 following the retirement of previous President and CEO Mike Pearson. Her focus includes organizational stability, driving operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Since joining PHMC in 2016, Christina has served in several executive leadership roles, including Chief of Staff, Chief Growth Officer and, most recently, Chief Administrative Officer. As Chief Administrative Officer, Christina led the integrated management of the organization’s core administrative functions to ensure alignment with its public health mission and long-term growth strategy. She worked to strengthen organizational infrastructure to better support frontline public health initiatives, optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational agility and sustainability. She had management oversight of Strategy Development, Real Estate and Facilities, the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar, Research and Evaluation, and Compliance, along with overseeing governance strategy and operations for the PHMC Board of Directors and its subsidiary boards.

Throughout her more than ten years with PHMC, she has worked closely with teams across the enterprise to strengthen operations, support program delivery, and advance organizational growth and collaboration.

Prior to joining PHMC in 2016, Christina was Outreach Coordinator and Development Associate at Home of the Sparrow in Exton, Pennsylvania, a nonprofit organization focused on housing, education, and supportive services for women and children experiencing homelessness.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Boston College, with a minor in Faith, Peace and Justice and a pre-med concentration. She earned a Certificate in the Medical Science Preparatory Program from Drexel University College of Medicine, a Master of Public Administration and Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from Thomas Jefferson University.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Edna G. Kynett Memorial Foundation and on the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Board of Women Visitors.
