Advancing Health Access
PHMC promotes health access and opportunity through programs that educate, empower and engage communities across Philadelphia. Through subsidiaries such as Health Promotion Council (HPC), we promote chronic disease prevention, nutrition education and community wellness. The Philadelphia Area Sexual Health Initiative (PASHI) works to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for youth ages 12–24 years. We also lead statewide initiatives such as the Pennsylvania Nutrition Education Network (PA NEN), which supports healthy eating and active living among SNAP-eligible Pennsylvanians.
