WELL.YES Philadelphia Taskforce

Back to Programs

The WELL.YES Philadelphia Taskforce, driven by Black LGBTQ+ youth on its community advisory board, provides education on making informed and safer choices about their sexual health and wellness needs. The goals are to reduce disparities in STDs/STIs, ensure access to prevention services, address social determinants of health that contribute to transmission and reduce stigmas.

WELL.YES, funded by the CDC’s Communities Addressing Reducing Stigma (CDC CARS), operates under Philadelphia Area Sexual Health Initiative (PASHI), a program of PHMC’s Health Promotion Services.

  • Provide youth-driven sexual health interventions
  • Address social determinants of health, STD/STI disparities, stigma and harm reduction
  • Reduce barriers to equitable health care access
  • Reduce STD/STI infection rates through evidence-based prevention and treatment
  • Partner with The Attic Youth Center and The Colours Organization for outreach, focus groups and community resources
