Survivor Services – Delco HART
Survivor Services’ Delaware County Healing and Resolving Trauma (HART) project embeds two full-time Joseph J. Peters Institute’s (JJPI) clinicians at Family Support Line (FSL), a children’s advocacy center. The support these clinicans provide expands the availability of evidence-based therapy for children and families exposed to trauma and for children who have exhibited problem sexual behaviors (PSB) in Delaware County.
This partnership is funded by a five-year grant from the Federal Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA). The program is offered by JJPI, a subsidiary of PHMC.
- Provide support for public, charter, and private school students, including evidence-based group therapy and school screening evaluations for students who have exhibited PSB in the school setting
- Offer consultation and training to school administrators, students and families
- Provide case management for individuals receiving services at FSL or at the Delaware County Children’s Advocacy Center, which is a program of FSL
