SafeCare Augmented for Family Empowerment (SAFE)

SafeCare Augmented for Family Empowerment (SAFE) is an evidence-based, nationally recognized curriculum aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect among families with children from birth to five years old.

The goal of this home visiting program, which runs for 19 weeks, is to strengthen families, empower parents, and promote children’s health, development and safety. Health Promotion Council (HPC), a PHMC subsidiary, supports parents to provide enriching and nurturing environments for their children, utilizing this evidence-based model’s child abuse and neglect prevention strategies.

Eligibility Criteria

Parent and/or caregiver with children from birth to age five

Live in one of the specified southeastern counties of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Referral Process

Participants can enroll directly or may be connected through an agency or organization.
