PHMC manages the Technical Assistance Hub that supports Federal Regions 2 & 3 for the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG). Created by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), PHIG funds local, state and territorial health departments, public health institutes, training centers and national technical assistance providers across the country. The goal of the funding is to promote and protect the health of communities through increased access to public health services and a strengthened public health infrastructure.

  • Coordinate technical assistance to regional public health institutes and training centers to support our region’s 14 funded health department partners across 10 states and territories

Eligibility Criteria

Technical assistance is available to health departments within Federal Regions 2 & 3

  • Region 2: New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Region 3: Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia

Referral Process

Organizations can request technical assistance directly via the PHIG Technical Assistance Network.
