The PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar is an innovative public health campus that serves West and Southwest Philadelphia. In partnership with Penn Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, our vision is to transform the facility into a 21st-century hub for health and wellness.

  • PHMC Health Cedar: primary and preventive care to adults and children
  • PHMC Health Dental: general and emergency dentistry for adults and children
  • PHMC Health Pharmacy: pharmacy services in coordination with PHMC Health Center on Cedar
  • PHMC Medical Respite on Cedar: post-acute care for people experiencing homelessness
  • PHMC Community Wellness Hub: trainings, workshops, nutrition classes and screenings
  • Educators for Education: professional development trainings, parent education, tutoring, youth development programs, and technical assistance for schools, nonprofit organizations and out-of-school programs
  • Penn Medicine Emergency Department: emergency medical care offered 24/7
  • Penn Medicine Inpatient Unit: inpatient medical, psychiatric and detoxification services
  • Penn Medicine Crisis Response Center: mental health and substance use emergency care
  • Penn Medicine Cardiology: heart and vascular care in an outpatient setting
  • CHOP Crisis Response Unit: pediatric mental and behavioral emergency care and acute inpatient psychiatry services

Eligibility Criteria

Adults, children and families

All patients will be seen regardless of their insurance status

A sliding fee scale is available for eligible patients based on family size and income

Referral Process

Patients can make an appointment directly.

PHMC Health also accepts referrals from insurance companies, medical providers or other service agencies.
