Philly Supporting Parenting Relationships through Outreach Understanding and Training (Philly SPROUT) supports children in Philadelphia who may face a higher likelihood of developing serious emotional disturbance. The program, funded by a five-year grant from SAMHSA, is Joseph J. Peters Institute’s (JJPI) second collaboration with fellow PHMC subsidiary National Nurse-Led Care Consortium (NNCC).
- JJPI provides evidence-based infant and early childhood mental health services to children in NNCC’s Nurse Family Partnership and Mabel Morris Family Home Visiting programs.
- JJPI provides clinical consultation to NNCC nurse staff.
- NNCC leads an additional component of Philly SPROUT that focuses on providing training to infant and early childhood providers from across various disciplines, including early childhood education, mental health and early intervention.
- Philly-MontCo Family Center families receive help through the Mental Health Initiative for Nurturing Development (MIND) program.
