Philadelphia Hepatitis Outreach Project (P-HOP) provides community-based Hepatitis prevention education, screening, testing and linkage to medical care and support services. P-HOP also supports individuals living with HCV, Hepatitis B (HBV) and/or HCV/HIV co-infection through education, advocacy, outreach, referral and linkage to care as appropriate.
Screening & Result Notification
- OraQuick HCV rapid antibody tests take only 20 minutes to complete
- Anyone who tests positive will be offered follow-up support and connected to treatment

- HCV/HIV Co-Infection
- Basics of Hepatitis C Treatment
- Teens, Tattoos & Hepatitis C

Eligibility Criteria
Open to all
Individuals 18 years and older should get tested for Hepatitis C (HCV) at least once, especially if one or more of the following risk factors apply:
- Unprotected sex
- Contaminated needles from substance use
- Contaminated needles from tattoos or body piercings
- Already diagnosed with HIV
Additionally, P-HOP supports individuals living with HCV, Hepatitis B (HBV) and/or HCV/HIV co-infection.
Referral Process
Particpants can enroll directly after assessing their risk factors.
