ParentChild+ is an evidence-based home visiting program that supports early literacy development of low-income and immigrant children. During consistent home-based interactions, home visitors work with caregivers to strengthen parent-child relationships; increase school readiness and school success; support reading and play at home; and develop children’s language, literacy and social-emotional skills.
- Collaborates with caregivers to develop individualized goals related to independence, social-emotional skills and cognitive ability
- Provides educational materials, including books and guide sheets, that help facilitate learning through play
- Connects families to more intensive early intervention services when there is an identified need for additional support

Eligibility Criteria
Immigrant families with children age 16 months – 3 years
Eligible for free/reduced lunch
Live in North Philadelphia, West Philadelphia or the Upper Darby area of Delaware County
Referral Process
Families can enroll directly. A provider or pediatrician may also connect a family to ParentChild+.
