Making Proud Choices (MPC)

The Making Proud Choices (MPC) program offers sexual and reproductive health education to youth. The evidence-based, 8-module curriculum helps adolescents build knowledge, confidence, and skills to reduce their risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV and pregnancy.
Making Proud Choices operates under Philadelphia Area Sexual Health Initiative (PASHI), a program of PHMC’s Health Promotion Services.
- Provide sexual and reproductive health education for youth
- Offer a fun and interactive series of learning experiences featuring educational videos, brainstorming, role plays, small group discussions and other exercises

Eligibility Criteria
Youth age 14-18
Enrolled in one of MPC’s partner schools or afterschool programs, including:
- Mastery Charter
- Guiding Stars, Inc
- Youth Outreach Adolescent Community Awareness Program (YOACAP), Inc
- Institute for the Development of African-American Youth (IDAAY), Inc
- Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), Philadelphia School District
Referral Process
Participants must be enrolled in an MPC partner program.
