Family Reunification

Family Reunification promotes self-reliance and self-sufficiency for Montgomery County parents whose children are placed in care. The program supports and guides parents as they work toward their Family Service Plan (FSP) goals to create a safe home environment to which their child can return.
- Provide intensive case management services for birth parents in an effort to remedy the conditions that resulted in the placement
- Connect parents with supportive resources
- Provide regular updates to caseworkers and generate progress reports for court

Eligibility Criteria
Families whose children are placed in care with the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth, including:
- Parents needing assistance meeting FSP goals
- Parents needing support services up to 3 months after reunification
Referral Process
Participants must be referred by Montgomery County’s Office of Children and Youth.
