AmeriCorps Community Health Fellowship Program

Back to Programs

The AmeriCorps Community Health Fellowship Program provides undergraduate nursing students and community health workers with community health field experiences serving vulnerable communities. This fellowship enhances competencies to screen patients for structural determinants of health, refer individuals to social and healthcare services, provide healthcare education to high-risk patients, and expand capacity within primary care and public health organizations. During the fellowship, AmeriCorps members receive advanced training and professional development opportunities. Upon the completion of the program, members receive an education award which can be used for current or future school expenses.
