Vaux PATH
Vaux Partnership to Address Trauma and Healing (Vaux PATH) program at Philadelphia Housing Authority’s Vaux Community Center is located in the Sharswood neighborhood of North Philadelphia. Vaux PATH clinicians support children and adults who have experienced trauma and are having emotional, behavioral and/or social challenges. Vaux PATH offers mental health treatment using a collaborative, trauma-informed approach and employs evidence-based treatments that address the root of each person’s difficulties. This is a program of Joseph J. Peters Institute, a subsidiary of PHMC.

- Evidence-based treatments include Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

Eligibility Criteria
Qualify for Medicaid insurance, AND one of the following:
- Live, work or go to school in the 19121 or 19132 zip codes
- Live in PHA housing near the Vaux Community Building
- Currently participating in other programming at Vaux
