Together; Recovery and Employment Project (TRE)
The Together; Recovery and Employment (TRE) Project, a Workforce Development program, provides work readiness training, job placement and support to individuals overcoming substance use disorders. Participants engage in training based on the IRIS job readiness model, gaining professional skills and attitudes necessary for workplace success. Trainings cover topics including communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, workplace ethics and professional etiquette. TRE is a program of PHMC’s Health Promotion Services.
- Work readiness training based on the IRIS curriculum
- Development of life skills, self-discovery and personal assessments
- Career planning, job search strategies and interview preparation
- Job placement and intensive coaching in early recovery
- Referrals to Medical Billing and Coding program for qualifying individuals pursuing health care certifications

Current or previous challenges with substance use
Live in Philadelphia
Referral Process
Participants may get involved directly or may be referred by a residential treatment facility or recovery program.
