Social Competency Program

The Social Competency Program is an after-school specialized autism services group program. Focused on social skills, it offers a variety of groups that address identifying and interpreting social cues, perspective taking, understanding emotions and feelings, self-esteem and working collaboratively with others. This is a program of The Center for Autism (CFA), a PHMC subsidiary.
- Provide social-emotional programming two evenings per week during the school year
- Offer extended hours during the summer to provide clients with additional opportunities for socialization

Eligibility Criteria
Children age 6-16 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Must be able to maintain a 4:1 child-to-therapist ratio
- Verbal abilities sufficient to hold simple back-and-forth communications
- Independent with using the bathroom
