Environmental Health

PHMC offers a variety of programs that help children and adults manage environmental risks to their health. Asthma and lead poisoning affect a large percentage of children in the Philadelphia area. PHMC programs provide parents and caregivers of children with or at risk for asthma or lead poisoning numerous resources to help them raise healthy children. PHMC also works with Asbestos Project Inspectors around the city to curtail the risk of asbestos in the Asbestos Control Program.
