children, youth and families build skills, achieve their goals and realize their potential. Each program
utilizes comprehensive, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches that focus on improving on
the emotional, behavioral, social and spiritual well-being of each child and family.

Intensive Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral health treatment and services for children with emotional behavioral health issues delivered in home, school and community settings. The program aims to help children and adolescents successfully manage their behaviors and emotions by providing individual supports and treatment in settings where they need it most. The program focuses on ensuring that all children have access to evidence-based behavioral health therapies, healthcare and an array of social supports needed to make children and families successful.

Family Based Mental Health Service

Intensive continuum of family therapy, case management and other support services delivered directly in the family’s home. The program has teams that specialize in providing services to families impacted by trauma, families managing ongoing medical issues, and Spanish speaking families. The program aims to prevent out-of-home placement of children and adolescents with serious emotional issues.

Multi-Systemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behaviors (MST-PSB)

Evidence-based, intensive treatment program that works with youth who have engaged in problematic sexual behaviors. Community based services are family driven and maintain victim, community and client safety as the top priority. The program aims to have youth abstain from any harmful sexual behavior, be actively engaged in educational and/or vocational activities, remain living at own home and disengage in any other delinquent or illegal activities.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

ABA is an evidenced-based practice that is considered the Gold Standard for Autism treatment. This form of therapy is based on the science of learning and behavior and applies our understanding of how behavior works in real situations. ABA interventions focus on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics, as well as adaptive learning skills: motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, and job competence. Interventions also focus on minimizing and eliminating problem behaviors by teaching participants alternatives skills and behaviors. ABA has been proven effective for both children and adults of varying abilities/needs in a variety of settings, including schools, workplaces, homes, and clinics.

WestHaven

WestHaven is a long-term structured residence serving adults with serious mental illness. WestHaven's mission is to provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, recovery-oriented treatment. The program provides a variety of services to help participants reach their highest level of functioning and independence.

Joseph J. Peters Institute

The Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI) is a non-profit mental health agency providing outpatient assessment and treatment services in the area of sexual abuse. JJPI's mission is to reduce the causes and overall results of sexually abusive behaviors through research, training, prevention, and treatment.

JJPI evaluates and treats survivors of sexual abuse as well as offenders. In addition, JJPI provides training to organizations throughout the region, holding a national reputation for its work in the assessment, treatment, prevention and education related to sexual abuse. Its research arm has received numerous grants from foundations such as the National Institute of Health and the National Institute of Justice.

Child First

Child First is a home visiting program that provides evidence-based, early childhood mental health services to children ages 0-5 and their families impacted by trauma, abuse, poverty, and other adversities to improve child and parent mental health, promote school readiness, and decrease child abuse and neglect.
