PHMC’s Health Promotion Services Division and Turning Points for Children are hosting Men’s Health Day on Thursday, March 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The event is geared to serve the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities and will be held at the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar. Free suits will be distributed, and PHMC’s Workforce Development will offer career counseling, resume-building and professional development workshops.
Attendees will also be able to speak with representatives from a range of PHMC programs about men’s health services and resources, including substance use disorder treatment and peer recovery services; primary and preventive care; parenting classes and family services; diabetes and chronic disease management services; a food pantry and programs for nutrition education and tobacco cessation; sexual education programming; support for people experiencing homelessness; and trauma and relational violence treatment programs. Additionally, PHMC’s Addiction Services will be offering free behavioral health screenings.
