La Comunidad Hispana & Mexican Consulate Hold Health Fair
Recognition of Binational Health Week

Kennett Square - La Comunidad Hispana (LCH) and the Mexican Consulate will host a Binational Health Fair at the American Legion Hall on Thursday, October 9, 2008 for their 3rd Annual Binational Health Fair.

Binational Health Week takes place from October 6 through 15 this year. Binational Health Week has become one of the largest mobilization efforts in the Americas to improve the health and well-being of underserved immigrants and migrants of Mexican and Central American origin living in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It encompasses an annual week-long series of health promotion and health education activities that include workshops, insurance referrals, and medical screenings.

The Binational Health Fair will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. On-site health checks from doctors and nurses will be available, as well as health education and health insurance materials. The event will feature raffles, prizes and refreshments will be served.

The LCH and Mexican Consulate's Bi-National Health Fair is supported by Weinstein, Scleiffer, & Kupersmith PC and Comcast as well as many other participating organizations listed below:
