In today’s rapidly changing political, economic and cultural landscape, nonprofit organizations need dynamic and sharp leadership to advance their missions and goals. Tine Hansen-Turton, Public Health Management Corporation’s (PHMC) vice-president of health care policy and access, has been selected as one of those leaders by the 2010 American Express NGen Fellows Program, which honors outstanding leadership and fosters the talent of under-40 leaders at Independent Sector (IS) member organizations.

Over the course of the fellowship, she will engage in online and in-person collaboration with other talented emerging voices, interact with seasoned leaders, contribute to addressing the critical challenges facing the nonprofit and philanthropic community, and embark on a keystone project that will positively impact the sector.

“Tine’s leadership has at many times been the critical factor in effecting policy change to broaden access to health care services,” said Richard J. Cohen, president and chief executive officer at PHMC. “Her selection as a NGen fellow is not only a well-deserved recognition of her stellar results, but also serves a launching point for greater influence and impact on health care access and policy.”
