Each June, LGBTQ+ communities from across the world come together to celebrate the freedom to be themselves. At PHMC, we recognize Pride Month and celebrate the self-affirmation and equality of all LGBTQ+ individuals.
PHMC is proud to acknowledge our diverse LGBTQ+ employee community, and the many LGBTQ+ individuals being served across PHMC’s continuum of public health programs.
PHMC has organized an event for the public and we hope you can participate:
- Drag Queen Story Time
Thursday, June 22 at 2:30 p.m. at PHMC’s Public Health Space at 4601 Market Street
National Nurse-Led Care Consortium’s Mabel Morris Family Home Visiting Program, in conjunction with PHMC, is hosting a local Philadelphia drag queen and performance artist, Icon Ebony Fierce, who will promote literacy to children ages 3-6 years old with style, flair and creativity – while reading stories about love, diversity and acceptance. Register by June 20 at 5:00 p.m.
Additionally, consider donating to support The Attic Youth Center. The mission of The Attic Youth Center is to create and promote opportunities for LGBTQ youth to develop within a safe and supportive community, as well as to promote the acceptance of LGBTQ youth. You can make a donation here.
