During National Nurses Week, PHMC recognizes and celebrates nurses for the important role they play in both the health care system and our own organization. This year’s theme is “Rooted in Strength” and honors their commitment and dedication amid challenging circumstances.

PHMC’s nurses care for patients across a range of different settings for our programs and subsidiaries, including our six health centers, substance use disorder treatment programs, hospice care, palliative care, home health, residential programs, and directly in communities and families. They partner with lawyers to support new mothers and strengthen families; promote family health and education; and advance nurse-led care through policy, advocacy, and by strengthening community health.

As our nurses continue to deliver care to the communities PHMC serves, we thank them for their contributions to our mission to strengthen public health for the greater Philadelphia region.
