This year’s National Public Health Week theme, Becoming the Healthiest Nation, takes a broad view of public health by “Celebrating the power of prevention, advocating for healthy and fair policies, sharing strategies for successful partnerships and championing the role of a strong public health system.”

PHMC’s leadership in these areas has been instrumental in delivering improved health outcomes. Through the work with patients across the PHMC health network to the development of behavioral health programs for highly vulnerable populations, from a focus on providing resources to children and families in crisis, to work that helps individuals safely and successfully transition out of the judicial system, PHMC has spent the past 45 years working to ensure conditions that give everyone the opportunity to be healthy.

As we continue to look for ways to grow our enterprise, expand our reach and deliver improved health outcomes to more individuals across the region, we’ll remain steadfast to deliver on our vision: PHMC envisions a healthy community for all.

To help celebrate National Public Health Week and in keeping with the theme of Becoming the Healthiest Nation, consider taking part in PHMC’s Walk to Work day, tomorrow, April 7, sponsored by PHMC Balance, in partnership with Health Promotion Services.
