On Saturday, March 7, Students Run Philly Style, a program of PHMC affiliate National Nursing Centers Consortium, began its fifth running season with its 2009 Kick-Off event. Philadelphia native and former NFL player Carlos Bradley, and elite runner Abby Dean, headlined along with the real stars: 500 students and their mentors. The event at University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field included fitness evaluations, running drills and various fun physical activities. Students Run Philly Style is the region's only program offering marathon training to youth.
