Patty Griffin is PHMC’s Chief Communications Officer, overseeing the development and execution of organizational narratives that reflect and drive the PHMC mission forward. She leads strategic communications and external affairs, including marketing communications, internal communications, media relations, government relations and community engagement.
Patty has more than 30 years of experience as a proven communications professional, providing strategic communications counsel to senior leaders, aligning messaging with business objectives, developing and implementing change management and crisis response communications, and executing public relations and marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining PHMC in 2014, Patty held communication management roles at AmeriHealth Caritas and Walgreens/Take Care Health. She worked as an independent communications consultant with a variety of clients including The Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Group, Aramark Corporation, AstraZeneca, and White Williams Scholars. She served as Director of Public Relations for GailForce Communications where she worked closely with national and local, print and broadcast media. Patty began her career delivering internal and external communications at Cigna and General Accident Insurance.
Patty is a lifelong Philadelphian, who is deeply committed to the well-being of the city. She holds a B.A. in Journalism, with a concentration in Public Relations from Temple University in Philadelphia.
