PHILADELPHIA, PA— Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a nonprofit public health institute that creates and sustains healthier communities, has hired Nina Boffa as Managing Director of Total Quality Management and Lauren Nestler as Managing Director of Communications.

Boffa brings to PHMC over two decades of experience in healthcare, having spent the last 24 years at the Methodist Hospital Division of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, most recently as a Senior Director of Quality and Resource Management. Trained in the six sigma methodology, her experience in achieving total quality management has been shaped by her leadership of numerous departments including case management and social services, performance improvement, risk management and patient services.

Nestler has more than a decade of experience in communications strategy, public relations and internal communications. Her experience includes working as part of an executive team to create a new healthcare company and concept, Take Care Health Systems, which is a member of the Convenient Care Association, housed at PHMC. Most recently she was Director of Communications at Walgreens, a Fortune 50 organization that acquired Take Care Health Systems.

"I'm thrilled to welcome both Nina and Lauren to our team and am enthused with the in-depth healthcare experience both bring to the table," says Richard Cohen, CEO of PHMC. "The roles of both quality management and communications are particularly important as PHMC grows through service expansion and enhanced community partnerships, as well as through our physical transition to our new location and working environment."

In April, PHMC announced that the company's headquarters will move from their current location at 260 South Broad Street to 1500 Market Street in early 2014. Designed to encourage collaboration and innovation, the new space will include an open floor plan allowing for easy access to coworkers and cutting-edge technology for increased mobility and relationship building.
