PHMC Awarded Additional $2.69 Million RACP Grant to Support PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar
PHMC wins a third round of funding from PA’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program
PHILADELPHIA – Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a nonprofit public health institute that creates and sustains healthier communities, has been awarded a $2.69 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This is PHMC’s third round of RACP funding, bringing its total to $6.44 million. The first two rounds of RACP funding have been used to support the ongoing development of the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar, an innovative and integrated public health campus designed to serve the needs of the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities.
PHMC will use this most recent award to support the expansion of its outpatient programs for adults and children, and to begin the construction phase of an adult and child/adolescent outpatient mental health and substance use disorder program.

Our great thanks to local elected officials, core partners and community supporters as we look to our shared vision of an integrated health and wellness campus with a focus on serving our West and Southwest Philadelphia neighbors.”
The RACP funds are supporting the renovation, restoration and development of the PHMC Public Health Campus on Cedar, which opened on March 25, 2021. PHMC is working with partners – Penn Medicine, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Independence Blue Cross Foundation – to transform the site into a 21st century hub for health and wellness. The project also supports local job retention and job growth, with an estimated $217 million in economic impact based on an independent review from Econsult Solutions, Inc.
