Congreso President and CEO Cynthia F. Figueroa welcomed U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Thursday, August 22. Other panelists included Mayor Nutter and Health Commissioner Don Schwarz. Secretary Sebelius discussed what President Obama's health care law will mean for the community served by Congreso, as well as for uninsured residents of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley. Also on the panel was a young Latina woman named Hilda, who discussed how Obamacare benefits kept her insured and healthy through college, and how the coming marketplace will allow her to become insured again as she works a job that does not provide insurance.
