PHMC's vice board chair Ana Pujols-McKee, MD has been appointed as executive vice president and chief medical officer of The Joint Commission, effective February 14, 2011.

Dr. McKee, who is currently chief medical officer and associate executive director at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania Health System, and associate professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, has been a strong advocate for improving access to health care.
