Congratulations to PHMC Chief Operating Officer Lauren Lambrugo on being selected as a City and State PA 2023 Fifty Over 50 honoree! This award recognizes dedicated public servants who have made an enduring impact in their communities throughout their careers.

Lauren joined PHMC as COO in 2018. In her role, she oversees operations, government relations, communications and outreach for hundreds of programs and a network of subsidiaries. She also leads PHMC’s Public Health Campus on Cedar, PHMC’s comprehensive public health campus in West Philadelphia, and she continues to lead the ongoing development of PHMC’s 4601 Market Street location.

Prior to her role at PHMC, Lauren served as Montgomery County’s first female chief operating officer, managing a $409 million operating budget, a $552 million capital program and nearly 3,000 employees. She also recently served on the transition team for Governor Josh Shapiro. She previously worked as chief of staff and political director during Shapiro’s time in the state House of Representatives, along with driving his 2011 Montgomery County commissioner campaign. Lauren also previously served as vice president of external affairs at Planned Parenthood Southeastern PA.
