Public Health Fund Announces 2014 Grant Winners

Public Health Fund, PHMC's affiliate grant making operation, announced its 2014 grant winners, totaling $331,538 to eight beneficiaries. The grants promote innovative and effective public health initiatives across the region both externally and internally within PHMC.

The winners of public grants and the amounts include:

  • Thomas Jefferson University Medical School, Creation of Injury Control Research Center ($75,000)
  • Philadelphia Education Fund, CTI Postsecondary Project ($68,500)
  • PHMC Public Health Institute, Household Health Survey for Delaware Public Health Institute ($75,000)

The winners of Innovations Fund grants to support specific PHMC efforts include:

  • PHMC and its affiliate National Nursing Centers Consortium, Get Covered Connector ($25,000)
  • PHMC affiliate Health Promotion Council, Statewide Alliance for Community/Clinical Partnership ($25,000)
  • PHMC's Research and Evaluation Group, Worksite Wellness Evaluation ($23,538)
  • PHMC program WestHaven, Recovery Through Music ($20,000)
  • PHMC's Community Based Services, PHMC Applied ($19,500)
