Public Health Management Corporation Congratulations to PHMC President and CEO Dr. Richard J. Cohen

PHMC is excited to share with you, our stakeholders and supporters, that on Thursday, September 20, PHMC president and CEO Richard J. Cohen will be honored for his contributions to the healthcare and nutrition fields by Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) at its annual Nourish Awards ceremony. The event celebrates Cohen's work, both nationally and locally, in improving health by nourishing the mind, body and spirit of our community.

Cohen has led PHMC since 1980 and has significantly contributed to the Philadelphia area for more than three decades. He has expanded PHMC to encompass nearly 1,400 employees, over 250 public health programs and almost a dozen subsidiary organizations. Under his 31-year watch, PHMC has expanded more than 75-fold and continues to grow, with a current operating budget of approximately $180 million. PHMC has a long-standing commitment to community-based research, policy analysis and tracking the presence of chronic health conditions including cancer and HIV/AIDS among adults and children in the region.

During the MANNA reception, PHMC's Community Health Data Base (CHDB) will present its latest findings on these topics from its recent 2012 Southeastern Pennsylvania Household Health Survey. CHDB has been conducting the survey since 1983.
